House of prayer

This is passion week and so I thought it appropriate to go over a few events.

Today I wanted to talk about Jesus going into the Temple. I feel that we don’t understand Jesus’ motive on this occasion.

Matthew 21:11-13

Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, “It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of thieves.’ ”

God disciplines those who He loves. As I studied this passage for a message I gave. God showed me He was more concerned about their hearts than the money in the Temple. He wants His house to be a place of prayer and worship. He wants us to worship in spirit and truth.

Now I am not advocating for this kind of behavior in the church(selling doves and money changers).

So as passion week progresses think your heart and how it can be more sensitive to God’s voice and less sensitive to the worlds voice.
